Amitabh Bachchan's Marathi film AB Anni CD has been withdrawn from theatres due to the coronavirus outbreak. The film, which was released last week, will now arrive on a later date.

Directed by Milind Lele, AB Anni CD is fronted by veteran actor Vikram Gokhale. Big B has an extended cameo in the film as himself.

"We have pushed the release date for our film Ab Anni Cd knowingly, what we need to concentrate on is safety which should be the priority. The response we received till now for the film has been overwhelming. The audience is so supportive. I hope that people are safe and take all the precautions needed until the time it is all under control,” Akshay Bardapurkar, producer of Ab Anni Cd, said.

Across India, cinema theatres have been shut in multiple regions. Last week’s Hindi release, Angrezi Medium, starring Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan, has also been pulled from theatres. The film will be re-released later.
