The fallout between the Thupparivaalan duo of Vishal and director Mysskin has been the raging topic in Tamil cinema in recent days. Vishal, who recently took over the directing reins from Mysskin for Thupparivaalan 2, released a statement on Wednesday clarifying his stance.

Today, Mysskin, speaking at a press event for Zee 5's upcoming series, Kannaamoochi, responded to the allegations against him. "I wrote a pan-Indian script for Vishal about the Kohinoor diamond for the Thupparivaalan sequel, and when he heard the script he was in tears. After initial talks with another producer, Vishal decided he would produce it himself. I asked him not to as he was already in debt, but he decided to. And that's when then the troubles began."

Saying Vishal was 'like his brother', Mysskin expressed his disappointment with the turn of events. "Vishal claimed I spent 13 crores, but I haven't spent half of it. Let him prove it. I have records for everything. I was insulted at so many places, my family was insulted. And I have proof of that as well. My brother, GR Adithya, was also beaten up in this process," said Mysskin, who also clarified the salary quoted by Vishal was from over a year and a half ago. "This salary was decided even before I started Psycho. After one and a half years, I renegotiated the salary citing time taken for the film. Later, I suggested Vishal look at the success of Psycho and decide. However, Vishal told me that neither Psycho nor Thupparivaalan was successful and he wouldn't raise the salary."

In his speech, Mysskin also spoke how he was decent enough to let Vishal move on with his project and did not try to put any hurdles in his way. "Can Vishal write a story? How did the first-look poster get unveiled yesterday? It is because I gave him the clearance," said Mysskin, who further added there was no point in Vishal threatening him with consequences. "Vishal un boochandi laam velaiku aagadhu, if you have justice on my side, come war with me."
