Amrutham Dhvithiyam, the second season of popular Telugu sitcom, Amrutham, is going to have a premiere on Ugadi, March 25 on a renowned streaming platform. Written by Gunnam Gangaraju, the show which was peppered with puns and social and political issues was telecasted on a vernacular television channel from 2001-2007. Although it ended about 13 years ago, Amrutham has been telecast repeatedly on different television channels to a rousing reception, eventually making it the most-viewed television sitcom of those times.

Director SS Rajamouli unveiled the trailer of Amrutham Dhvithiyam on Twitter today and penned a nostalgic note for its fans.

Amrutham featured actors Sivaji Raja, Naresh VK, and Harshavardhan in the lead roles, while Gundu Hanumantha Rao played Anji. Amrutham Dhvithiyam will see the return of Harshavardhan along with Sivannarayana, Vasu Inturi and Ragini, who played Gongali Appaji, Sarvam and Aamudala Santha. Comedian LB Sriram is stepping into the shoes of late Gundu Hanumantha Rao, while Satya Krishnan has been roped in to play Sanju.
