The release of Tovino Thomas' Kilometres & Kilometres has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. This is the first Malayalam film to be postponed on account of this.

As nine positive cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) have already been confirmed, Kerala has been put on high alert.

"Keeping in mind that one of the ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to avoid mass gatherings, we have decided to postpone the release of Kilometres & Kilometres," said Tovino in a statement.

The actor, who is one of the film's co-producers as well, added, "This film is the result of days and months of toil and dreams, but the safety of us and those around us is more important than anything else. We became an example to the world by resisting Nipah, and we will overcome this too."
