Kalyani turns director-producer for Telugu-Tamil bilingual

The film's pre-look and teaser glimpse were released by director Puri Jagannadh today

After working as an actor for over three decades, Kalyani, also known as Kaveri in Tamil Nadu, is now going behind the camera for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, which she will direct and produce. Featuring Chethan Cheenu, Siddi, and Suhasini Maniratnam in pivotal roles, the film's pre-look and a brief glimpse of the teaser were released by director Puri Jagannadh today.

"It is going to be a psychological thriller that will narrate an unusual love story inspired by true incidents. The film will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and the principal photography will commence soon," read a statement from the makers.

Kalyani made her Telugu debut with Rajasekhar-starrer Seshu (2002) and scooped up a Nandi Award for her performance as a software employee in her second film, Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru
