Golden Globe 2021 is postponed. It has been announced that the award ceremony will take place on February 28, a date that was reserved for 93rd Academy Awards even back in 2017. Now, Oscars will happen on April 25, eight weeks from Golden Globes. The changes are the result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It is expected that the change in the schedule might lead to Golden Globes 2021 influencing the Oscars as the process of the latter will not begin till March 5.

Golden Globes Award ceremony usually takes place on the first Sunday of every year. This year it happened on January 5. 

The format details of Golden Globes 2021 have not been revealed yet, but according to Variety, it will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
