The latest speculation making rounds in Kollywood is that Sun Pictures will soon be bankrolling a family entertainer starring Suriya and directed by Pandiraj. Interestingly, this will mark the actor and director's second collaboration after the 2015 drama, Pasanga 2.

Pandiraj's last two films, Kadaikutty Singam and Namma Veettu Pillai, which were also family entertainers, did exceptionally well at the box-office. While the Karthi-starrer Kadaikutty Singam was produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, Namma Veettu Pillai, starring Sivakarthikeyan, was bankrolled by Sun Pictures, which seems to be keen on working once again with Pandiraj.

A source close to the makers states that Suriya will move on to this film after completing Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vasal and Hari's Aruvaa. Apart from these films, Suriya is also in talks with Gautham Menon for a project.

Meanwhile, Sun Pictures is producing Annaatthe, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Siva.
