It looks like director Siva has pulled off a casting coup with Thalaivar 168. Nayanthara is the latest addition to the already loaded star cast.

Nayanthara’s addition is interesting as the actor joins an ensemble cast which comprises Meena, Khusboo, Keerthy Suresh, Soori, and Satish. In a surprise announcement, the producers Sun Pictures announced this on Twitter.

This will be Nayanthara’s fifth collaboration with Rajinikanth after Chandramukhi, Kuselan, Sivaji, and Darbar. Interestingly, Nayanthara was also part of Siva’s last film Viswasam, which had Ajith as the male lead. 

Thalaivar 168 will have music by D Imman. It is the music composer’s first collaboration with the Petta actor.

Shooting for the film began at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad last year. Recently, speculations were rife that Siddharth has been paired opposite Keerthy Suresh in the film.
