Anushka Shetty's Nishabdham postponed to April

CE Features

The release of Anushka Shetty's upcoming film Nishabdham has been postponed. The crossover thriller, which was initially scheduled for release on January 31, will now hit the screens on April 2.

With this, the film is set to lock horns with debutant actor Panja Vaisshnav Tej's rustic revenge drama Uppena, which was already confirmed for release on the same date.

According to a source, the release of Nishabdham has been postponed due to a delay in post-production. "The team needs more time in order to get the VFX right. Even though the first copy will be readied by February 28, the makers have shifted the release keeping in mind the exam season. As the film caters to all age groups, the team has decided that April 2 is the ideal date for Nishabdham. The film, which is being shot in Telugu and Tamil, will also be dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam, and English," says the source.

Also starring Michael Madsen, Madhavan, Shalini Pandey, and Anjali, the film has been shot predominantly in Seattle. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, and bankrolled by Kona Venkat and TG Vishwa Prasad, Nishabhdam has music by Gopi Sundar and cinematography by Shaneil Deo.
