The trend of heroines singing for their own films seems to be very much in vogue. Ramya Nambeesan, who has previously sung in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma and Damaal Dumeel, has picked up the mic again for her upcoming film, Plan Panni Pannanum. With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ramya has sung a folk song in the film. The announcement was made by the film’s director, Badri Venkatesh on Twitter.

Interestingly, Ramya has also sung for other actors, for instance, Lakshmi Menon in the chartbuster song Fy Fy Fy from the Vishal-starrer Pandianaadu. Apart from Ramya, Shruti Haasan too was in the news recently for singing a song in her own film, Laabam, which co-stars Vijay Sethupathi.

Meanwhile, Plan Panni Pannanum, which has Rio Raj play the male lead, also features Bala Saravanan and Robo Shankar in key roles. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to hit the screens in March.
