Shruti Haasan sings for Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Laabam

Shruti Haasan, who is making a comeback in Tamil with SP Jananathan’s Laabam, will also be singing a song in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer. The film’s music composer D Imman, took to Twitter to make the announcement. 

“Roped in Shruti Haasan to render a melodious romantic track for Laabam under SP Jananathan sir’s direction. Lyrics by Yugabhaarathi. Can’t wait to share the track with you. Praise God,” the composer wrote, sharing pictures from the recording. Shruti has earlier lent her voice for Imman for Yennamo Yedho’s Shut up your mouth

Shruti’s last release in Tamil was the 2017 film Singam 3, post which she took a sabbatical from acting to concentrate on her music. Notably, the actor recently made her Hollywood TV debut with the series Treadstone.
