SAC, Bharathiraja, Karnakaran join Simbu's Maanadu

The political thriller, which stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead, will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Richard M Nathan

After a hiatus, the pre-production work of Simbu's Maanadu is back in full swing and the team has announced that Karnakaran, Premgi Amaren and director-actors Bharathiraja and SA Chandrasekar have joined the cast of the Venkat Prabhu-directorial. 

The political thriller, which stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead, will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Richard M Nathan. Maanadu is bankrolled by Suresh Kamatchi, under the banner V House Productions.

Interestingly, Simbu who was credited as STR in his recent films like Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven has changed his onscreen name to Silambarasan TR.

Apart from this film, Venkat Prabhu has a web series starring Kajal Aggarwal in the lead. Simbu, on the other hand, will be seen in an extended cameo in Hansika's Mahaa
