We had earlier reported that Rio Raj is collaborating with Baana Kaathadi filmmaker Badri Venkatesh for an upcoming film. This film has now been titled Plan Panni Pannanum. The title is a callback to one of Vadivelu’s famous dialogues from Vijay’s Pokkiri. 

Produced by Positive Print Studios, Plan Panni Pannanum will have Ramya Nambeesan play the female lead and MS Bhaskar, Santhana Bharathi, Bala Saravanan, Rekha, Marimuthu, Viji Chandrashekar, Robo Shankar, Munishkant, and Aadukalam Narain playing key roles. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Shooting for the project was completed recently and the film is expected to hit the screens in March this year.

Rio Raj made his debut as a hero in the Sivakarthikeyan production Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja. Meanwhile, Badri Venkatesh last made Semma Bodha Aagathey (2018) featuring Atharvaa and Anaika Soti.
