Even as reports of Udhayanidhi Stalin playing late CM M Karunanidhi in an upcoming biopic is doing the rounds, the actor has refuted all such claims through a social media post.

Replying to a news channel that put forth this speculation, Udhayanidhi said, "Please don’t believe this fake news." He further urged the channel to verify such claims before publishing.

The biopic, reportedly directed by En Kadhali Scene Podra filmmaker Ram Seeva, will join the list of films made on Indian politicians across many Indian languages. Apart from this Karunanidhi biopic, there are also multiple films based on the life and times of late CM Jayalalithaa, including Thalaivi, starring Kangana Ranaut, and directed by Vijay. There was also the Gautham Menon-Prasath Murugesan-directed web series, Queen, featuring Ramya Krishnan.

Incidentally, a serialised version of Karunanidhi's autobiography, Nenjukku Neethi, was telecast on Kalaignar TV.

Meanwhile, Udhayanidhi, who was recently seen in Kanne Kalaimaane, plays the lead in Mysskin's Psycho, which is set to hit the screens on January 24.
