Marvel’s Hawkeye series to go on floors in July

CE Features

Disney+ is all set to begin the filming of Marvel’s Hawkeye series in July. Jeremy Renner, who played the role in the films, will be returning as Clint Barton for the show as well.

Hawkeye is the only character from The Avengers (2012), who doesn’t have a spin-off film so far (Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow will be released this year).

Apart from Clint Barton, the show will feature another lead character from the Marvel comics - Kate Bishop. Bishop is a young superheroine in the comics, who teams up with Clint Barton to fight evil. However, the makers are yet to reveal the actor who is going to play the role.

So far, Marvel TV shows like Defenders, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and S.H.I.E.L.D have been unrelated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Now, that is changing as Disney and Marvel Studios have decided to merge the universes of Marvel films and series.

Hawkeye series will be released on Disney+ channel in 2021.

Apart from Hawkeye, Disney+ is also making The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision, which are expected to release this year.
