Looop Lapeta, the Hindi adaptation of Run Lola Run to star Taapsee Pannu, Tahir Raj Bhasin

Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin will headline the Hindi adaptation of Tom Tykwer’s Run Lola Run. Titled Looop Lapeta, the film will be helmed by debutant Aakash Bhatia.

The 1998 German thriller follows a woman (Lola, played by Franka Potente) who desperately needs cash to bail out her boyfriend. Over the phone, he tells her she has precisely 20 minutes to obtain it. The film explores three possible outcomes as Lola makes a dash from her home to her final destination.

The Hindi adaptation is written by Vinay Chhawal and Ketan Pedgaonkar. As per the makers, the story has been refurbished to suit an Indian context.

Looop Lapeta is co-produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment and Aayush Maheshwari. The principal photography will commence in April this year. The film is set for release on January 29, 2021.

Meanwhile, Taapsee and Tahir Raj Bhasin will next be seen in Thappad and ’83, respectively.
