The internet is miffed with Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy sweeping 13 awards at the 65th Filmfare Awards, which was held on Saturday. Netizens are also cheesed off that Ananya Panday, who forayed into Bollywood with last year’s Student of the Year 2, won for Best Debut.

On Monday, hashtags such as #boycottfilmfare and #boycottfilmfareawards started trending on Twitter. Fans are angry that Akshay Kumar’s Kesari and Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 did not win a single award. Two days ago, lyricist Manoj Muntashir, whose song Teri Mitti from Kesari was tipped to win, tweeted about the snub, vowing to boycott award shows for good.

Gully Boy dominated the Filmfare Awards with maximum wins. Besides Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor Male and Female (Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt), the film also won for Best Supporting Actors Male and Female (Siddhanth Chaturvedi), Best Screenplay (Reema Kagti), Best Dialogues (Vijay Maurya) and others.
