Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has been declared as the third highest grosser ever of Telugu cinema.

The film, which has become the biggest opener for Arjun and its director Trivikram Srinivas, has fetched Rs 280 crore with the theatrical share reported at Rs 167.80 crore, making it the only straight film in the language to have achieved this feat.

The collection of the family entertainer has beat films like Rangasthalam and Khaidi N0.150.

Released on January 12, the film tells the story of a young man, who is raised in a typical middle-class household and learns that he is the sole heir of an affluent family.
