Jatin Sarna, who was recently seen in Darbar, will next appear in Hansal Mehta’s Chhalaang. The film stars Rajkummar Rao as a PT teacher in Uttar Pradesh. The social comedy, produced by Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan, also stars Nushrat Bharucha.

“I was shooting for one of my movies when I got a call from Vicky Saldhana,” Jatin recalls. “He had also cast me in Meeruthiya Gangsters and Saat Uchakkey. He said Hansal Mehta is making a movie and wants to cast you in the prominent role of a sweet shop owner.”

Speaking about his character, Jatin adds, “It is based on a Haryanvi guy. The name of my character is Dimpy. It’s an important role alongside Saurabh Shukla and Rajkumar Rao. I have always admired Hansal Mehta’s work. After Aligarh, I really wanted to work with him. So, I felt this was my opportunity."

Chhalaang is set for release on March 13. Jatin is also a part of Kabir Khan’s '83, where he portrays cricketer Yashpal Sharma.
