Arshad Warsi, Karan Kapadia join Durgavati, the Hindi remake of Bhaagamathie?

The thriller is being produced by Akshay Kumar and helmed by G Ashok, who also directed the 2018 Telugu film

Bhumi Pednekar is starring in the Hindi remake of Bhaagamathie. Titled Durgavati, the ‘scary thriller’ is being produced by Akshay Kumar and helmed by G Ashok, who also directed the 2018 Telugu film. The story of Bhaagamathie follows a female IAS officer (Anushka Shetty) who is imprisoned in a haunted house. Things turn freaky when she gets possessed by a ghost. 

As per reports, actors Arshad Warsi and Karan Kapadia have joined the cast of Durgavati. Arshad has been roped in for a role essayed by Jayaram in the original. Karan, meanwhile, has been cast in the role, originally played by Unni Mukundan. 

The nephew of Dimple Kapadia, Karan made his Bollywood debut last year in Blank. The thriller also starred Sunny Deol and had Akshay Kumar in a special song appearance. 

Durgavati went on floors last month. The film is presented by Cape Of Good Films and produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment.
