Himesh Reshammiya has announced his next film as an actor. He will be starring in a romantic drama titled Namastey Rome. The film will be directed by Rajesh Sethi and go on floors this summer in the UK.

The lyrics of Namastey Rome will be penned by Javed Akhtar, who had collaborated with Himesh on Namastey London.

Speaking about the film, Himesh said, “Namastey Rome is a classic love story based on real incidents. Javed sahab and I were completely in love with the subject. The music which has been composed for Namastey Rome is just outstanding. I very proudly say it’s better than the super blockbuster classic music of Namastey London.”

He added, “This is the first time I’m doing a film on a completely real incident. It’s a love story which is different yet extremely relatable. The female lead and  other cast and credits of the film will be announced soon.”

Himesh’s new film, Happy Hardy And Heer, was released in theatres on January 31. The actor-composer will also be starring in the upcoming sequel of The Xpose.
