Vignesh Shivan's long-awaited Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal, starring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha Akkineni, went on floors today. 

The film, which was announced on Valentines Day this year, was delayed due to the cornovirus pandemic outbreak.

Bankrolled by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studios, in association with Vignesh Shivan's home banner, Rowdy Pictures, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal has Naanum Rowdy Dhaan composer Anirudh joining hands with Vignesh for the third time. 

The shooting of the film began today and the crew will be filming scenes involving Vijay Sethupathi.

After wrapping up the shooting of her Malayalam film Nizhal, Nayanthara will join the Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal team, while Samantha is to start shooting for the film later this month.
