Actor-director Vijay Kumar, who shot to fame after his debut directorial Uriyadi, which he also starred in, will next act in an action-drama. Directed by debutant Abbas, an erstwhile assistant of Vijay Kumar, the untitled film will be produced by Reel Good Films. 

Pre-production work on the project has begun with the team in talks to finalise the rest of the cast and crew. The project is expected to go on floors soon. 

Vijay Kumar’s last release was the 2019 film Uriyadi 2, which he starred in and directed. The project was produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. He also recently wrote the dialogues for Sudha Kongara’s Soorarai Pottru, which was headlined by Suriya and Aparna Balamurali. The film had a digital release, premiering directly on Amazon Prime Video.
