Rohit Shetty’s Simmba to re-release in the US as theatres open

The film, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, will be playing in Virginia

Rohit Shetty’s Simmba will be re-releasing in the US. Theatres in the country have been slowly opening up amid the pandemic. On Friday, Reliance Entertainment announced that Simmba will be playing in Regal Virginia Center and Regal Countryside, Virginia from August 28.

Simmba is set to take USA on a roller coaster ride of entertainment! Re-releasing in Regal Virginia Center and Regal Countryside, Virginia, USA from 28th August 2020,” the producers tweeted.

Released in 2018, Simmba was the third instalment in Rohit’s interconnected cop franchise. The masala-entertainer starred Ranveer Singh as a corrupt cop who changes his ways and brings a gang of drug suppliers to justice. The film also starred Sara Ali Khan as the female lead.

Meanwhile, Rohit’s new film, Sooryavanshi, is awaiting release around Diwali. The film is fronted by Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, and features extended cameos by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
