After Suriya confirmed that Soorarai Pottru will have a digital release, speculations have been rife that Dhanush’s Jagame Thandiram will also be hitting one of the streaming platforms soon. However, producer Sashikanth took to Twitter to end these rumours.

“Jagam is still healing and not back to normal. Until then, be patient for the theatres to open and don’t believe in rumours, The entire team is waiting to see Dhanush go Rakita Rakita on a big screen soon,” he wrote.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Jagame Thandiram also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Kalaiarasan, Lal, Sanchana Natrajan, and James Cosmo in important roles. The film has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

Sudha Kongara’s Soorarai Pottru will premiere on Amazon Prime on October 31. The decision has sparked a debate in the industry about big films opting for digital releases.
