After speculation was rife on social media that the much-delayed Party will get a direct digital premiere, the makers have rubbished the rumours. The statement from Amma Creations said, “We noticed that a section of media is carrying news that our upcoming project Party will skip theatrical release and have a direct OTT release. These are baseless rumours as we don’t have such plans.”

The statement further said that the production house will make an official statement soon, and that the makers are looking for a theatrical release.

Party is directed by Venkat Prabhu and stars Jai, Shaam, Shiva, Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Ramya Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Sanchita Shetty, Nivetha Pethuraj, Nassar, and Chandran. The film has music by Premgi Amaren.

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu is working on Maanadu, starring Simbu and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, with SJ Suryah playing a key role.
