CE Features

Vidyut Jammwal-starrer Khuda Haafiz premiered on August 14 on Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex. According to the makers, ‘The First Day First Show’ of the film has emerged as the biggest Vidyut Jammwal opening ever. Earlier, the comedy release Lootcase received a similar response and has become the biggest comedy movie on the platform, the makers stated.

“I am eternally grateful to receive such an overwhelming response from my fans across the country, Jammwal-lions, and the critics,” Vidyut said. “This success would not have been possible without their constant appreciation and support, and I will be forever indebted. Playing the character of ‘Sameer’ was intriguing and challenging for me at the same time and I had to do a lot of unlearning for it, but it gave me the perfect chance to hone my skills.”

Writer-director Faruk Kabir added, “Khuda Haafiz is so personal in many ways and I’m glad Vidyut's, the team's and my efforts stand validated by the audience today.”

Upcoming Bollywood titles on Disney+ Hotstar include Sadak 2, Laxmmi Bomb, Bhuj: The Pride of India and The Big Bull. The platform is also streaming Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film Dil Bechara
