Vijay donates Rs 1.3 crore for coronavirus relief

Vijay has donated Rs 25 lakh to the PM-CARES relief fund, Rs 50 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's relief fund, Rs 10 lakh to Kerala CM's relief fund, and Rs 25 lakh to FEFSI (Film Employees Federation of South India) for coronavirus relief measures.

He has further donated Rs 5 lakh each to Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana and Pondicherry CM's relief fund. This apart, the actor has also distributed money to fan clubs to directly help affected people. A total of Rs 1.3 crore has been contributed by the actor for the cause so far.

It is notable that Ajith donated Rs 1.25 crore, while Sivakarthikeyan contributed Rs 25 lakh for coronavirus relief efforts. 

Meanwhile, the release of Vijay's upcoming film, Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak and resulting lockdown.
