Prabhas returns Chiranjeevi's favour

CE Features

Actor Prabhas is all set to collaborate with Nag Ashwin for a futuristic sci-fi thriller. Initially, the Mahanati director was keen on casting Chiranjeevi in the lead role, but the Megastar suggested Prabhas' name for the part.

In his latest interview with Cinema Express, Chiru stated that he has teamed up with director Sujeeth for the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer. What's more interesting is that Prabhas has recommended his Saaho director's name to Ram Charan, the producer of the film.

"Prabhas suggested Sujeeth meet Charan to discuss a script for a new film. When the actor and director met, Charan made an offer Sujeeth couldn't refuse. And that film happens to be the Telugu version of Lucifer starring Chiranjeevi. Instead of Charan, Sujeeth landed an opportunity to direct Chiru and that way Prabhas returned Megastar's favour," says a source.

Produced under Konidela Productions, the Lucifer remake will go on floors soon after Chiru wraps up Acharya.
