We had earlier reported that Boney Kapoor has bought the Tamil remake rights of the Bollywood hit Article 15. The latest update on that remake is reports say Kanaa director Arunraja Kamaraj has been tapped to direct the Tamil version, which might have Udhayanidhi Stalin reprise the lead role played by Ayushmann Khurrana in the original. An official confirmation is awaited.

Article 15, which was directed by Anubhav Sinha, turned out to be very successful at the box office but received some criticism about representation.

Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor is currently producing Valimai, his second Tamil film with Ajith and director H Vinoth. Udhayanidhi, who recently played the lead in Mysskin’s Psycho, will next be seen in director Mu Maran's Kannai Nambathey.
