Maddie Ziegler, who will next be seen in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, has signed the teen drama, The Fallout. The young actor will be joining Jenna Ortega, last seen in the second season of Netflix’s You.

The Fallout will be helmed by actor-turned-filmmaker Megan Park, who will also be writing the script.

The film is about how a high schooler (played by Ortega) navigates the aftermath of a school tragedy, which alters her life and her relationships irrevocably. It will be produced by Clear Horizon, The Burstein Co, and 828 Media Capital.

Maddie’s performance in Sia’s music video, Chandelier, first brought her under the spotlight. The actor later made her feature film debut with the 2017 film, The Book of Henry, which also starred Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay, and Jaeden Martell.
