Ponniyin Selvan to be a two-parter, Mani Ratnam confirms

Ace director Mani Ratnam interacted with his fans through the social media accounts of his wife Suhasini today. During the question and answer session, he confirmed that his mega-budget multi-starrer Ponniyin Selvan will be released in two parts. 

The film, which stars Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram Prabhu, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Jayaram, Lal, Sarath Kumar, and Ashwin Kakamanu, has music by AR Rahman and cinematography by Ravi Varman. It is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

Mani Ratnam also revealed that he is currently working on a new script, which he will direct post-Ponniyan Selvan and that it will most likely be made in Hindi.
