After offering accommodation at his hotel to healthcare workers, Sonu Sood feeds 45,000 people in Mumbai

Actor Sonu Sood recently offered his Mumbai hotel as a stay facility for healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Now, reports say the actor has been providing daily meals to over 45,000 people in areas such as Andheri, Juhu, Jogeshwari and Bandra.

He has started a special food and ration drive called Shakti Annadanam, named after his father.

On his assistance to doctors and paramedical workers, Sonu had earlier stated, "It's my honour to be able to do my bit for the doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff of our country who have been working day and night to save the lives of millions in the country. I'm really happy to open the doors of my hotel for these real life heroes."

On the film front, Sonu was last seen in the Telugu releases Sita and Abhinetri 2. His upcoming Bollywood film is Prithviraj, co-starring Akshay Kumar.
