Writer and co-producer of animated sitcom Rick and Morty, Jeff Loveness, will pen the script for Marvel Studio's Ant-Man 3.

In the new instalment, Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang alongside Evangeline Lilly, who plays the Wasp. Peyton Reed, who directed the previous two instalments, Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018),  has already been signed to helm the project.

Marvel is yet to officially announce the project. It is unclear when the shoot for the film will begin as the coronavirus outbreak has brought the industry to a standstill.

Loveness started writing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and has previous Marvel experience. He has written comics on Spider-Man, Groot, and Nova for a publishing house. His current work as writer on Rick and Morty is acclaimed. The show's final five episodes of Season 4 are set for release on May 3.
