First look of Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan out 

The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who previously worked with Farhan on the sports biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan is scheduled for release on October 2, 2020. The film is a boxing drama written by Anjum Rajabali and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Farhan and Rakeysh previously worked together on the sports biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

The first-look poster of Toofan was unveiled today. It features a heavily-chiseled Farhan practising air punches in an empty ring. The fictional film also stars Paresh Rawal as Farhan’s trainer, and Darshan Kumar as Dharmesh Patil, a Maharashtrian boxer and the film’s main antagonist. 

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is known for directing Aks, Rang De Basanti, and Delhi 6. His last directorial outing was Mere Pyare Prime Minister, starring Anjali Patil and child actor Om Kanojiya. 

Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming release is The Sky Is Pink. The family drama is inspired by the story of the author and motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary, who passed away at 18 due to pulmonary fibrosis. Farhan essays the role of Aisha’s father, Niren Chaudhary in the film.
