Director Ponram, known for films such as Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan, will be collaborating with Sasikumar for an upcoming project. Titled MGR Magan, the film will have Super Deluxe-fame Mrinalini Ravi playing the female lead.

Apart from these two actors, the film will also star Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Samuthirakani, and Singam Puli. The film went on floors in Theni today.

Interestingly, MGR Magan will have music by popular singer Antony Daasan, who is donning the composer's hat for the first time. While Nedunalvaadai-fame Vinoth Rathinasamy will handle the cinematography, Vivek Harshan will be in charge of the cuts. 

Last seen in Kennedy Club, Sasikumar currently has Samuthirakani’s Nadodigal 2, Gautham Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta, Kombu Vaetcha Singamda, Paramaguru, and Naa Naa in various stages of production.
