Upendra to be re-released after 20 years

The 1999 film had three female leads, played by Prema, Damini, and Raveena Tandon, and had music by Gurukiran.

Upendra’s producer, Shilpa Srinivas is working on getting the film re-release the 1999 film the silver screen after a gap of 20 years. He is currently bringing down the online links of the film as the first step. He has sought the help of anti-piracy and cybercrime experts for this process. 

Shilpa Srinivas is excited to show the film to a wider audience, especially in multiplexes. The producer, who has not fixed a re-release date, is yet to discuss the matter with Upendra and get his consent. While Upendra was originally made in Kannada, the producer plans to release dubbed versions in Telugu and Tamil.
