GV Prakash appears to be one of the busiest actors in Tamil cinema these days. With four films already out this year, including the recently-released Sivappu Manjal Pachai, the composer-turned-actor has a slew of other films ready for release.

Now, it has been announced that GV Prakash will soon be making his Hollywood acting debut in the film, Trap City, directed by ‬‪Ricky Burchell, and starring Brandon T Jackson and Dennis LA White. The film is said to be about a drug peddler turned successful rapper who has to make an important choice between betraying a dangerous crime boss or save his career. This project is bankrolled by Telganesan of Kyybafilms, who had earlier produced two Hollywood films - Devil’s Night: Dawn Of The Nain Rouge and Christmas Coupon, that actor Napoleon had starred.

Mranwhile, GV Prakash has recently signed on the dotted line for Bachelor, helmed by debut director Sathish Selvakumar, a former assistant of director Sasi, and an untitled project by another debut director Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, a former assistant to director Vetrimaran. Besides this, he has films such as 100% Kaadhal, Jail and Kaadhalikka Yaarumillai in various stages of production.
