We had earlier reported that Mari Selvaraj, who directed the critically and commercially acclaimed film, Pariyerum Perumal, last year, will next be working with Dhanush.

It's now known that the untitled film will go on floors from December, this year. In a recent interaction in Pondicherry, the director has been quoted as saying, "Dhanush gave me the chance to work with him after watching Pariyerum Perumal. Just like my first film, this one will also address an important issue."

Speculated to be titled Karnan, the film is said to star Malayalam actor Rajisha Vijayan, known for films like June and Finals. Kalaipuli S Thanu will produce this film under his V Creations banner.
