We had earlier reported that GV Prakash will be working with debutant director Mathimaran, an erstwhile assistant of Vetri Maaran, on an upcoming film. Now, Gautham Vasudev Menon has been roped in to play the villain in this action thriller.

“Gautham Vasudev Menon perfectly fit the character I had in mind for the villain. That was the only reason to get him onboard. The film is an action thriller, which will look at the off-campus life of a student for four years, like a biopic,” says Mathimaran.

The yet-to-be-titled film will also star Varsha Bollamma, who will next be seen in Vijay's Bigil, as the female lead and Vagai Chandrasekhar in an important role. Produced by K Productions, the film will have music by GV Prakash himself. Shooting for the film began today.
