Pooja Hegde seems to be the first choice for Telugu filmmakers lately. Reports stated that the Maharshi actor has been signed to play the love interest of Akhil in his upcoming film, to be directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar.

Asked if the reports were true, a source close to the production house, Geetha Arts, says, "We did consider her, but things did not work out due to remuneration issues. We are now looking out for another actor, who has both the good looks and talent."

About the speculations stating that Ketika Sharma, who is currently shooting for Romantic opposite Akash Puri, is being considered for the role, the source says, "The discussions are in the nascent stage. We are planning a look test soon to see if she matches our expectations."
