Solo release for Marjaavaan as John Abraham pushes Pagalpanti

CE Features

John Abraham has deferred the release of his film, Pagalpanti, to allow a solo release window for Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan. Produced by Nikkhil Advani, Marjaavaan stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet. Marjaavaan will now be released on November 8 and enjoy a clear two-week run.

Marjaavaan will benefit from a solo window and  Bhushan (Kumar, producer) agreed with me,” John said in a statement. “Milap is a grounded boy and wonderful writer, while Nikkhil is a good, solid man for whom friendship is non-negotiable. I have worked with directors who have moved on, but Nikkhil understands loyalty and will work with you irrespective of how a film fares. It’s important for all of us that Marjaavaan sets the box office on fire.”

The new release date of Pagalpanti is yet to be announced. The film is a comedy directed by Anees Bazmee and also stars Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Arshad Warsi, and others.

John is set to reunite with Milap on Satyameva Jayate 2 and with Nikkhil on 1911.
