Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen on screen in the action drama Sindhubaadh, will next be seen in Sanga Thamizhan, directed by Vijay Chandar and produced by Vijaya Productions. This film is Vijay Chandar's third project after Vaalu and Sketch.

The latest speculation making the rounds is that Vijay Sethupathi plays a character that leads a protest against a factory which affects the livelihood of people in Sanga Thamizhan. The film is apparently about the method he adopts to shut down the plant,

Sources, therefore, suggest that Sanga Thamizhan might have references to the sterlite plant in Thoothukudi.

The film, which stars Vijay Sethupathi in dual roles for the first time, also features Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Pethuraj. With music by Vivek-Mervin, Sanga Thamizhan is expected to get a release early October.
