The mystery surrounding Salman Khan's Eid 2020 release shows no signs of unravelling. Contrary to recent reports that Kick 2 will be Salman's Eidi next year, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, in a recent media interaction, put rest to these speculations.

Nadiadwala revealed that he was still in the process of scripting the sequel to the 2014 blockbuster, and it would be only ready next Eid. Rumours about Kick 2's release cropped up following the shelving of the much-awaited, Inshallah. The film, also featuring Alia Bhatt, was to be Sanjay Leela Bhansali's first film with Salman in 12 years. Once this was shelved, Salman, in a series of cryptic tweets, announced that he would "still see you all on Eid 2020."

Meanwhile, Salman has locked on a December 20 release for his Dabanng 3, which is directed by Prabhudheva.

With Inshallah shelved, and Kick 2 not anywhere close to getting ready, it is not sure how Salman will keep his promise of delivering a film for his fans next Eid.
