Stand up comedian Alexander Babu, whose recent Amazon special Alex in Wonderland has been receiving rave reviews, will soon make his film debut. The yoga teacher and comedian has bagged a part in Madhavan’s upcoming film, Maara. Directed by Dhilip, known for his Netflix short Kalki,  the film will have Shraddha Srinath playing the female lead. 

Taking to Instagram, Alex wrote, “Spent a few days again in rainy Kochi this week hanging out with the one and only Madhavan, Dhilip and the gang. Learning so much through this big special project. Waiting for the formal announcement!”

Maara is touted to be a 'pure romance drama' that will see the Vikram Vedha pair together again on screen. The film will have music by Ghibran.
