Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in Namma Veettu Pillai, will next be seen in Hero, a superhero drama, directed by Irumbuthirai-director PS Mithran and produced by KJR Studios. Recently, the teaser of the superhero movie was released, raising expectations for the film.

Now, we hear that the complete shooting of Hero will be over by November 7, and the team has already completed editing and dubbing of the first half of the film. Hero is thus on track for a December 20 release.

Abhay Deol, who is making his Tamil debut through the film, plays a corporate kingpin corrupting the education system, and Arjun, who played the antagonist in director PS Mithran's Irumbuthirai, features as Sivakarthikeyan's mentor who devises plans for his alter ego.

Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is also making her Tamil debut, will be seen in the role of a teacher. Also starring, Naachiyaar-fame Ivana, Hero has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Kaththi-fame George C Williams, and editing by Ruben.
