Shruti Haasan has been missing in  the Telugu industry for over two years now. Last seen in Pawan Kalyan-starrer Katamarayudu (2017), she has since been busy with a film each in Tamil and Hindi.

Now, Shruti is all set to return to Telugu cinema with Ravi Teja and Gopichand Malineni's cop thriller, tentatively titled Crack. The upcoming film is a remake of Atlee's Theri, which starred Vijay and Samantha in the lead.

Incidentally, Ravi Teja, Shruti Hassan, and Gopichand had earlier collaborated on Balupu (2013).

Sharing a picture of Shruti, Gopichand extended a warm welcome to the actor with a tweet.

According to the makers, the film presents Ravi Teja in a powerful cop avatar. Theri revolves around a police officer who goes into hiding with his daughter, after losing the rest of his family.

Gopichand is said to be tweaking the film's script to make it suitable for Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan, who are reuniting after six years.

Produced by Tagore Madhu, the film will be launched in November followed by the regular shoot in December.
