After much anxiety, it is time for Vijay fans to rejoice as the Tamil Nadu Government has granted permission for the screening of special shows for the actor's Deepavali release, Bigil. The official handle of the ruling party announced this on Twitter.

Over the past couple of days, there was much confusion regarding the status of early morning shows for Bigil as State Minister Kadambur Raju had explicitly announced it would not happen. Sharing the announcement through his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, he also added that this act of the government would prevent exorbitant and illegal pricing of film tickets.

While it was speculated that the lack of these special shows might hamper the box office prospects of Bigil, this announcement has come as a much-needed shot in the arm for the makers of the film, which is set to be released in over 4000 screens worldwide, and in almost 750 theatres in Tamil Nadu alone.

The sports drama, which is the third collaboration between Vijay and Atlee, also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, Varsha Bollamma, and Indhuja.
