Narcos’ Wagner Moura to present his directorial debut at IFFI, Goa

Brazilian actor Wagner Moura, best known for his role in the film, Elite Squad, and as Pablo Escobar in the Netflix series Narcos, will visit the International Film Festival Of India (IFFI) in Goa. Wagner will present his directorial debut Marighella at the festival and participate in a conversation titled ‘The Magnificent Artist’, where he will talk about his journey as an actor and filmmaker. Additionally, he will be interacting with budding filmmakers as part of the programme.

The 50th edition of IFFI is set to take place from November 20 to 28. French filmmaker Robin Campillo, Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yang and British director Lynne Ramsay are part of this year’s International jury. Veteran Indian filmmaker Ramesh Shippy is also a juror for the International competition. 

Wagner Moura made a cameo appearance in Narcos: Mexico (2018). The actor was recently seen in Olivier Assayas’ Wasp Network, alongside Penélope Cruz, Édgar Ramírez, and Gael García Bernal.
