We had earlier reported that a sequel to Vishal's superhit 2018 film, Irumbuthirai, was in the works. According to reports, the sequel, so far referred to as Irumbuthirai 2, might be titled Chakra. Produced by and starring Vishal in the lead, the film is directed by Ezhil's erstwhile assistant, Anand. 

The film, which went on floors this April, also stars Shraddha Srinath in the role of a cop. It is also said to feature Regina Cassandra in a pivotal role.

An official announcement about the title, as well as the rest of the cast and crew, is expected soon.

Vishal, who was last seen in Ayogya, is currently awaiting the release of the Sundar C-directorial, Action. He is also part of yet another sequel, Thupparivaalan 2 with Mysskin.
